It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas Preparations are in full swing!

This week has been a particularly wet one with all the rain coming down on several days. It certainly has not dampened the Christmas mood. On Tuesday, we rehearsed our KS2 Carol Concert and it was great to hear the children performing together as classes and then as a whole school. The School hall looks so much better with the new floor and concertina wall just in time for the performances.

Our Peer Mentors (Anti-Bullying Ambassadors) went over to Taverham High School to take part in Anti-Bullying training by the Dianan Award Team. They learnt how to successfully recognise the signs of bullying and how to manage, report and support a situation. They all received badges for successful completion and now look forward to implementing some of the great ideas that they have taken from the day. Thank you to Ms. Forder and Miss. Sims for going with them.

It was good to see the Governors visiting earlier in the week to look at reading as part of their Challenge Day monitoring. The pupils and staff team showed real enthusiasm to contribute to such an organised day and showcase key areas of the school. Feedback was positive and shared with all pupils and staff to action any suggested improvement.

Friday also saw the area manager for Norse visit to feedback to the Junior Leaders about how school meals can be improved since their pupil survey was collated and sent in. The pupils conducted themselves extremely sensibly and I was very proud of them all.

Next week, we have our KS2 Carol Concert performances at 2pm and 6pm both on Tuesday 12th December, so please ensure you have booked your tickets by Friday 8th December. We also have the Christmas dinner for the children on Thursday 14th December where we hope to see them all wearing their festive jumpers. Friday 15th December is the Family Carol Service at the Church beginning at 6pm. We hope to see as many families there as possible from across the Federation of schools.

Have a great weekend everyone.
