Time to tell some yarns!
Yarnsmith impresses with lots of tales!
It was another busy week, that seems to have flown by. Children have been steadily working through their various learning topics. I was impressed with how well Year 3 grasped the Zones of Regulation session on Tuesday, when I covered from Mrs. Holt. They had some strong ideas about feelings and emotions and how these in turn impact our bodies in different ways. All classes across the Federation have been studying the Zones of Regulation in order to provide them with a stronger understanding of their own emotions and how they can control them.
To commemorate National Storytelling Week on Friday, we were privileged to have a travelling yarnsmith, Dave Tonge, tell tales and stories to the children. The children enjoyed them immensely, especially when props and actions were used to exaggerate what was being said. Watch out for the sheepskin!
Next week, we have Safer Internet Day on Tuesday, the Years 5 and 6 Boys' Team has a match away at Hillside and on Friday, children will need PE kits on for another Virtual Competition in Ultimate Frisbee with Premier Sports. It will then be half-term.
Have a great weekend everyone!
