Fayre's Fayre!

Summer Fayre ends the week with success!

This week we have had further soaring temperatures, but the show had to go on and we continued to host the many different events that we had planned.

On Monday, we held our Junior Sports' Day and it was an absolute scorcher of a day. There were some very eye-catching individual performances on the throwing and jumping carousel before the track was lit up with some blistering running. Well done to everyone for taking part and supporting one another to make it a fantastic event. A big thank you to the staff for making sure everything ran smoothly and staying on top of the scoring. Well done to the parents also for being brave enough to run in this heat, even with the tumbling fathers. A great afternoon for all.

High praise must go to the children who graduated from our Ormesby University ceremony in St. Margaret's Church in front of their families. This was all in recognition of them showing the strongest of commitments to a variety of extra-curricular activities across the year. From Karate to singing; from swimming to circus-act skills. Well done to all involved for helping to make the occasion really special.

On Wednesday evening, we held the Summer Music Concert with Mrs. White-Joubert leading a musical showcase of talented pupils, who participate in peripatetic music lessons and performance sessions. The children were all very brave at varying levels of ability, playing piano, guitar, violin, drums, keyboards, as well as singing and dancing in front of a live audience. Another great occasion together.

On Thursday, we also saw several children from across the Federation travel off to the cinema to attend the Attendance Reward trip. This was the most children we have ever taken proving the incentive is working. The film was very good. Thank you to the staff for accompanying the children.

On Friday, the PTFA Summer Fayre took place and it was a very well-organised event, providing an array of stalls and activities for everyone to enjoy. Well done to all involved in making it a success. We will share the final amount raised in due course, but thank you in advance.

Next week, we have our Year 6 travelling off to Pleasurewood Hills, they also have their Leavers' BBQ on Thursday after school and their Leavers' assembly in St. Margaret's Church at 10:00am on the final day.

Have a restful weekend everyone!
