Heading to the Top!

Ranworth House Captains are Headteachers for the Day!

Hello, we are the Ranworth House Captains and we have been Headteachers for the Day shadowing Mr. Young and completing some tasks that he would normally have to do. We have led an Infant assembly, we have completed a learning walk on the purpose for learning, we have led games at breaktime, heard children read and chaperoned the choir to and from the Infant school for rehearsal. The day has been fun with the best part being able to hear the opinions of the other children. I have to say the two ladies were very good at the role today and were a credit to the school and their families. I was very proud of them both.

On Monday, the Junior choir went over to the Gorleston Pavilion to take part in a Regional Schools Music Festival. This was the organiser's first event hosting this and I have to say it was brilliant with lots of talent on show from across the area. Our children were, of course, fantastic. Huge praise to them and Mrs. White-Joubert for preparing them. Thank you for the parental support also.

World Book Day fell on Thursday and this gave everyone the chance to put on a costume of a well-known book character or, as some opted for, come to school in their pyjamas. The children completed some book-related tasks across the day and looked fantastic.

Sadly, the Years 5 and 6 football match for the boys had to be cancelled as the opposition could not field a side against us. This was a shame, but we trained instead and we will move on to the next arranged fixture.

Next week, we have further joint choir rehearsals to look forward to ahead of the Norfolk County Music Festival as today's rehearsal was fantastic.

Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
