It's a family affair!

The Senior Citizen's lunch with Year 3 goes down the right way!
As we approach the Winter months and the temperature drops, please can I encourage all parents to ensure their child is sent in with a warm coat. On too many occasions this week, I have seen children arrive without a coat and without a jumper or cardigan. A cold child is not going to be a happy and productive one, so let us see them wrapped up next week as they should be.
On Tuesday, Year 6 went off to the fire safety and first aid workshop with Crucial Crew. Here, they practised CPR on a dummy, learnt about the appropriate procedures if ever confronted with a fire and covered the importance of being safe. The children behaved really well and gained a great deal from the trip. First aid and CPR are so important for children to understand, because none of us ever know when they may be required and they could be the difference needed.
Our Year 3 class enjoyed dining with their elderly relatives at our Senior Citizen's lunch kindly prepared by our Norse kitchen team. The food tasted lovely and it was made tastier by the choir serenading the audience with a trio of Christmas songs. There were some very grateful relatives, who appreciated the occasion. Mission accomplished for all involved!
Unfortunately, the School Games organiser informed me that the Tag-Rugby tournament was cancelled due to the withdrawal of all other schools taking part, leaving us as the only party involved. This was such a shame, as it is now the second year in a row it has been cancelled. Hopefully, there will be something on for Tag-Rugby in the Summer.
Next week on Tuesday, Rev. Jo is visiting us to lead another Christingle assembly. Friday is also non-uniform in exchange for a rainbow raffle prize.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
