Sing Up!

From Song Competition to World Mental Health Day
This week has been extremely busy and culminated in everyone wearing something yellow to commemorate World Mental Health Day, The mental well-being of everyone is vitally important to be supported and protected in this day and age where there are so many pressures and stresses in our environment. There is no age-limit for someone to be plagued with mental health challenges, so today was about ensuring people know why they must talk to someone and share their worries before they become overwhelming. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but strength. Young Minds charity offer lots of support, as do Just One Norfolk who can put families in touch with the relevant services, such as CAMHS.
On Monday, fifteen of our choristers travelled to Hertfordshire to compete in a National School Song Competition. The school was in the top thirteen out of three-hundred and fifty entrants. We performed excellently, but were not voted in the top three, but were against schools from all over Great Britain. Well done Mrs. White-Joubert also for preparing the children.
Yesterday, our School Improvement Partner visited and spoke to me about both schools, their strengths and the areas for improvement. We toured the Junior school and made another date to review the Infant school. She was pleased with what she saw and what she heard, so I hope she will feel the same on her next visit here.
Next week, we have our Halloween disco on Thursday. Please note that if children are not well-behaved in school, staff will expect parents to attend with their child to ensure behaviour remains appropriate. Failing that, children will not be invited. On Friday, there will be a non-uniform day in exchange for food donations for our Harvest Festival celebrations. On Friday also, there will be a football tournament for our Years 5 & 6 Boys' Team at Flegg during the school day. Fingers crossed we can perform well and enjoy ourselves.
Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
