Heatwave!

School preparing for sports, concerts and bidding a fond farewell to our Year 6 Leavers.

This week has simply flown by with so many different events being planned for and being delivered for our pupils to enjoy. Doing all this is the heat has made it harder, but enjoyable at the same time.

The Year 6 SATs results came out this week and conveniently this coincided with the end of year reports being sent out to parents. I hope you enjoy the new format for them, the staff are pleased with them, so we hope you and your children are equally also. There is a parental comment sheet we ask you complete and return. From those returned, a name will be drawn to win a £10 Tesco voucher. Every little helps after all!

We also enjoyed transition day on Monday, when the Year 6s visited their new High Schools and we were able to shuffle everyone into their new classrooms with their new adults. Rest assured a lot of thought and effort has gone into preparing the new classes, so work with us to ensure your pupils adapt quickly and enjoy the new academic year.

It was great to be able to give out the new Anti-Bullying Diana Award badges to our Peer Mentors for their hard work and efforts in achieving their five action points from their annual plan. They have made us all proud. A big thank you to Miss. SIms and Ms. Forder for their assistance in helping the team succeed.

Next week, we have the Years 3 and 4 and Years 5 and 6 sports' afternoons on Monday and Tuesday respectively. The children have been practising well and we hope it will be a very fun occasion with lots of encouragement from the parents and staff.

On Wednesday, there willbe a musical concert organised by Mrs. White-Joubert, where our talented musicians will showcase all their talents and skills between 5:30PM and 7:00PM. I am sure this will be amazing. We are also planning our Summer Fayre for Friday 15th July. We hope this will go well, because it has taken a lot of planning and preparation. Fingers crossed.

Have a great weekend everyone!
